He is survived by: his parents, Roberta Ann Shawver and William Lowell Maughan; his wife Chelsea Fenton Maughan; his siblings, Krista, Michael Maughan (Cristina) and Melissa Maughan (Brian); and his sister-in-law Tiffany Fenton-Dima (Mario). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to local youth sports programs, ensuring that David's passion for mentorship and coaching continues to inspire future generations.
