He was predeceased by: his wife Dianne; his parents, Alvin Riley and Ginger Riley; and his parents-in-law, Joe and Olga Joubert.

He is survived by: his sons, Dwayne and Darren (Kerry-Anne); his half-siblings, Gord Olson, Barb Olson, Linda McCarthy (Dennis) and Val Kendry (Rory); and his siblings-in-law, Sylvia Joubert Johnson (Don) and Lionel Joubert (Ann).
