She was predeceased by: her parents, John J. Thiessen and Anna Thiessen; her husband Elmer; her son Douglas; and her brothers, Claus, Clarence, Johnny and Peter Thiessen.
She is survived by: her children, David (Therese), Mark (Gloria), Judy (Jack) and Janice (Daryl); her daughter-in-law Carrol; and her sister-in-law Helen Epp. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
After that she stayed home to help and was especially close to her father who had Parkinson's Disease, whom she helped to feed and shave.
