He was predeceased by: his daughter Kourtney; his mother Joy Winter; and his cousins, Rob Winter, Lance Winter and Darren Carson.

He is survived by: his significant other Bonnie Husnik; his children, Jeremy (Kinley) of Saskatoon, Kassandra (Jason) of Blaine Lake and Kayla (TJ) of Martensville; his father Dale; his sisters, Dawn Bergerman (Jim) and Vicki Carter (John); and also, Teresa Winter, Kennedy and Kamryn. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

For those so wishing, donations may be made in memory of Doug to the Jim Pattison Children's Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
