He was predeceased by: his parents, Albin Sampson and Joyce Sampson; and his brother Len Sampson. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his daughter Lori (Gerry); his grandchildren, Callum, Kinley and Harrison; his son Ryan (Tennille); his grandchildren, Jovi and Rowen; his daughter Ashley (Kevin); and his siblings, Terry (Cindy) and Cathy (Mike). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the St. Paul's Hospital Foundation in Doug's name.
