He was predeceased by: his parents, Rhoda Campbell and Ken Campbell; his former wife Ardella Davison; and his brothers, Sam and Art Campbell.

He is survived by: his spouse Shirley MacDonald; and his nieces and nephews, Dean Campbell (Deanne), Duncan Campbell (Pat), Janice Reade (Clayton), Bobbie Campbell, Leslie Lyons (Don) and Shannon Campbell.
