She was predeceased by: her parents, Dora Essar and Charles Essar; her husband Nestor; her daughter Debbie Hoffman (Larry); her grandson Scott Martinuk; and her son-in-law Dennis Martinuk.

She is survived by: her siblings, Steve (Eva), Katie Paley (Fred), Mike (Gerry) and Alex (Joyce); her daughter Marilyn Martinuk; her grandchildren, Jeremy (Salima) of Calgary, Laurel Petersen (Matthew) of Saskatoon and Zayne Hoffman (Ashleigh); and her great grandchildren, Zara Martinuk, Oliver, Georgia Petersen, Cohen and Deacon Hoffman. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
