With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Eleanor Doreen Bertha Matheson (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 3, 2026 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hill and Bertha Hill (Umpherville); and her husband Fred. She is survived by: her siblings, Fred, John, Frank, Ernest, Gordon and Marjorie; her friends, Beta Sigma Phi, Bridge and Curling; her children, Palm Springs, Victoria, B. C. Doreen, Fred, Susan (late Glenn), Janice (Todd), John (Maureen) and Bob (Robbin); her grandchildren, Kyle (Stephanie), April (Jeremy), Ashley (Joel), Eric, Hilary (Ross), Elliott (Codie), Morgan (Jesse) and Christine (Patrick); and her great grandchildren, Andrew, Davis, Beckett, Cooper, Emmett, Caden and Claudia.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Calendrier Grace Westminster United Church (505 10th St E, Saskatoon, SK S7N0E3).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, a charity close to Doreen's heart.
