He was predeceased by: his parents, John Drews and Amelia Drews; his siblings, Herbert (Esther Drews), Arthur (Wilhelmine Drews), Roman (Waltraut Drews), Herman (Helen Drews), Ellen (John Stewart), Frieda Husch and Alma (Joe Paller); and his brother-in-law Emil Hanke.

He is survived by: his sister Adeline Hanke; and his brother-in-law Nick Husch. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
