She was predeceased by: her parents, Mildred Whittaker and Fredrick Whittaker; her nephew Neil Prime; her siblings-in-law, Rena Zimmer, Carl Zimmer, Mary Davidson, Keith Davidson and Sheila Sullivan; and her brother Gary Whittaker.
She is survived by: her children, Glen Freethy and Patricia Freethy (Michel Busque); her sister Ruth Prime (Donald); her siblings-in-law, Elaine Whittaker (Gary) and Neil Sullivan (Shiela); and her husband Alan Freethy.
She proudly supported Doctors Without Borders, The Council of Canadians, and the Stephen Lewis Foundation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the above organizations are greatly appreciated.
