He was predeceased by: his parents, Barbara Gruber, (Ruider) and Frank Gruber, Sr.; his siblings, Hilda Ulrich, Rita Merkowsky and Joseph Gruber; his siblings-in-law, Donald Ulrich and Johanna Gruber; his nephew Gerald Gruber; and his nephew-in-law Alan McCormac.
He is survived by: his brother Frank Gruber; and his siblings-in-law, Allan Merkowsky and Muriel Gruber. He is also survived by 19 nieces and nephews, along with their spouses, their children and their grandchildren.
