He was predeceased by: his parents, Jens Sahli and Thora Sahli; his wife Ida; his siblings, Melvin Sahli, Annie Lees (Harold), John Sahli (Betty) and Vernon Sahli; his parents-in-law, Magdalene and Fred Schreiner; his siblings-in-law, Frank Schreiner (Anne) and Betty Schreiner; his grandmother Zameruk (Walt); and his son-in-law Allan Rudyck.

He is survived by: his children, Jerry Sahli (Marilyn), Audrey Rudyck and Carol Lewis (Marty); his grandchildren, Krystin Riviere, Alyssa Rudyck (Matt Downing), Amanda Lewis (Matt Schmidt) and Leighton Rudyck; his great grandchildren, Chase, Keelie Riviere, Callum Schmidt and Aries Rudyck; and his brothers-in-law, Eugene Schreiner and Allan Schreiner (Barb). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Howard to Parkridge Centre in Saskatoon.
