As Ian departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Ian may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Ian leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Pamela Burt and Dr. John Burt; and his sister Susan Stevenson. He is survived by: his significant other Betty Ann Adam; his son Zeger Burt (Samantha Schwab); his sisters, Penny Zelensky (Gary) and Jane Brown (Jim); his stepdaughter Lucia Diakuw (Aaron O'Bryan); and his cousins, Barry Jones and James Henville. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and their children.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Hillcrest Funeral Home (210 Wess Rd, Saskatoon, SK S7V0S4).
In lieu of floral tributes, donations to the ALS Society of Saskatchewan would be greatly appreciated.
