She is survived by: her children, Shirley Mamer (Dan) of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Edward Hourd (Denise) of Bonnyville, Alberta; her grandchildren, Suzanne Stinson Lee of Birmingham, UK, Tammy Tremblay (Chris) of Neuanlage, Saskatchewan and Ashley Simpson (Tyson) of Cold Lake, Alberta.; her great grandchildren, Tyler Adams (Rachel), Justin Adams (Tsing Yu), Keisha Adams, Rhiannon Lee, Kiana Tremblay and Kaiden Simpson; her great great grandchildren, Theo, Lilah and Cece Adams; and her sister June Garth. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a charity of one's choice in Irene's memory.
