Jarl James James Slind Obituary
Jarl James Slind, 50, of Saskatoon, SK passed away in his sleep on Friday, September 1, 2017 in Saskatoon of a heart attack due to complications from Diabetes. A celebration of Jarl's life will be held in Cherished Memories Life Story Room at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday. September 12, 2017 with Jake Friesen officiating. After the celebration, guests are invited to join the family at the Gruenthal Church Cemetery for Interment, with a luncheon at the Cherished Memories Reception Centre immediately following.
Jarl was born on August 2, 1967 in Terrace, BC. He had great passion! He loved music and fishing. He had a very unique view of the world. He was extremely kind, caring, and would help anybody at any time. As a teenager, he travelled extensively in the summer with his grandparents, John and Helen Doell, moving furniture across the country.
He was a very hard worker; most of his career was spent in the drilling industry starting as a helper and progressing up to senior driller. Jarl was predeceased by his wife of 18 years, Corrine Slind; his uncles Lyle Lang and Terry Lang; as well as his grandparents. He is survived by his mother Marcia Slind; father Larry Slind; father Barry English; sister Cynthia English (Randy McDonald); niece Andrea Evans (Nick Longpre); great-nephew Marshall Longpre; brother Joel English; nephew Ethan English; brother Kevin Slind; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
