He is survived by: his wife Lisa Kemppainen; his children, Ayden and Kaitlyn Kemppainen; his mother Lyla Kemppainen; his siblings, Dan Kemppainen (Stacey) and Paula Kalyn (Curt); his nieces and nephews, Drew, Tanner, Jase, Camryn, Cameron, Kasey and Zoey; his brothers-in-law, Scott Wheeler (Kayla) and Kirk; and his mother-in-law Janice Wheeler. He is also survived by his many extended family members, friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice at Glengarda, or the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada in Jason's memory.
