Jean Jacek Obituary

It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Jean Jacek (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan), who passed away at the age of 88, on May 3, 2020. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. John and Christina Bateman; and her sister Moira Tingliff. She is survived by: her daughters, Nora and Carolyn; her granddaughter Faye Hutchison; and her husband Gus.

Due to Covid-19, we will be waiting until such time as it is acceptable for family and friends to gather for a Memorial Service to pay tribute to Jean, which will be announced in a future edition of this newspaper.

She supported the City Hospital Foundation and University scholarship funds set up for English and Philosophy students, she also volunteered at church activities.
