He is survived by: his niece Sylvie Fortier-Kot (Peter Kot); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Edyn and Kayden Kot of Saskatoon; his nephew Denis Fortier (Ji-Hae Fortier) of Calgary; his sister Lucienne Forcier (Paul Forcier) of Edmonton; his nephews, Pierre Forcier (Joette Forcier) and Eric Forcier (Brianne Hellum); his sister-in-law Marguerite Gareau (late Gabriel Gareau); his nephew Glenn Gareau (Sandra Gareau); his siblings, Anita Croteau of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Paulin Gareau of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Normand Gareau (Debbie Gareau); Claude Fortier (Michelle Fortier) of Chestermere, Alberta.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A prayer was held on Thursday, February 26th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Hillcrest Funeral Home (210 Wess Rd, Saskatoon, SK S7V0S4). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Cathedral of the Holy Family (123 Nelson Rd, Saskatoon, SK S7S1H1).
