It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Benedict Jansen (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan), born in Macklin, Saskatchewan, who passed away on July 8, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Appolonia Jansen and John Jansen; his parents-in-law, Annabella and Hugh Bingham; his siblings, Marie Mildenberger (Don), Theresa (Jack), Maze (Leo Mitchell), Delores, Frank (Kathy), Peter, Ben (Alvina) and Raphael; and his siblings-in-law, Valeria Jansen, Valerie Jansen, Margaret Giggs (Robert), Leslie Bingham (Gladys) and Michael Babchuk.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Bingham of John's Church; his children, Karen Schleper (Alan), Kate Olson (Bud), Gail Giddings (Lorne), Greg (Val) and Hugh (Paul); his grandchildren, Trevor (Ashley), Ryan, Cole (Anastasia), Meg (Ross), Jon, Emily (Bryn), Natasha, Josh (Indi), Kait Brennan (Matt), Jared (Kelli) and Jenna; his great grandchildren, Shayne, Mira and Margo; his siblings, Anne Dundon, Jeannette Kollman, Agnes Flanagan, Gen Kennedy (Harold), Jerome and James; and his sisters-in-law, Phyllis Jansen, Brenda Jansen and Eileen Babchuk. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Acadia McKague's Funeral Chapel (915 Acadia Dr, Saskatoon, SK S7H 5N4).
