We are sad to announce that, on February 18, 2020, at the age of 96, John Derksen (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Derksen and Margaret Derksen; his sister Elsie Penner; and his stepmother Margaret Bergen. He is survived by: his wife Helen; his son Robert Doerksen (Dianne); his granddaughter Chantelle MacIntyre (Michael); his great grandchildren, Carlos, Kassidy and Keegan; his son Ken Derksen (Charlene); and his sister Mary Fehr.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee, 600 45th Street West, Saskatoon, SK S7L 5W9 or the Canadian Cancer Society.

“To aunt helen, rob, dianne, ken and charlene we are sad to hear of the passing of uncle john, he was a quiet gentle man who always showed kindness and love to our family and showed a deep devotion to his faith. Our prayers are with you at this time. We are taking a moment to remember all of you today, the many visits we had in saskatoon, the camping trips to squaw rapids. Lots of love from susan, terry, debbie and carol (klassen)”
