He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Slusar and Annie Slusar; his stepfather George Kostyniuk; his parents-in-law, Andrew and Jessie Pitura; his siblings-in-law, Stan, Peggy Pitura and Douglas Gleave; and his nephew Danny Pitura.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Pitura; his sons, Bruce Slusar (Donna) and Robb Slusar (Mona); his grandchildren, Alexander (Katrina), Adam, Andrew, Taylor (Hillary) and Mataya; his great grandchild Paige; his siblings, Ron Kostyniuk (Jan) and Roseann Gleave; and his brother-in-law Ron Pitura (Charm).
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Hillcrest Funeral Home (210 Wess Rd, Saskatoon, SK S7V0S4).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated.
