He was predeceased by: his son Patrick James; his former wife Mary Alice; his parents, August Schneider and Mary Schneider; and his siblings, Josie Gaboury, Gus, Clem, Nick Schneider and Mary Novlan.
He is survived by: his children, Michael (Sherri), Arlene Sproule (Steve), Donna Schneider (Cam Alexander) and Tim (Val); his grandchildren, Christopher Sproule (Ashley Tonsaker), Dale Daratha (Caitlin Windrim), Mark Daratha (Danielle Robertson), Amy Daratha, Kyle Daratha, Emerald (Josh Tayapad) and Nicholas Schneider; his siblings, Elma Knelson of Ladysmith, BC, Hubert (Emma) and Eugene (Darlene) of Saskatoon, SK; his sisters-in-law, Verda Schneider of Campbell River, BC and Mary Schneider of Edmonton, Alberta; his nephew Wayne Daratha; and his wife Alice Conway.
