He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Smith and Patricia Smith; his brother Garnet Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Don Cherry and Rhonda Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Velvet (Beechinor); his children, Rodney Smith (Sheri), Garnette Weber (Daniel) and Charlotte Henderson (Duane); his grandchildren, Hailey, Andrew, Owen, Rowan, Simon, Claire and Paul; and his siblings, Muriel Cherry, Sylvia Yallop (Jim), Clarence Smith (Peggy), Lillian Bourne and Delbert Smith (Jo-ann).
