He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Bethke; his siblings, Edward and Betty Buchko; his mother-in-law Ruth Bethke; and his parents, Stanley Mardell and Mary Mardell.
He is survived by: his children, Alicia and Jarett; his siblings, Clifford Mardell (Ethel), Beverley Inglehart and Lloyd Mardell (Louise); and his siblings-in-law, Zenon Butchko and Diana Bethke (Don). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
