It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lawrence Kalmakoff in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, who passed away on August 29, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Kalmakoff and Anne Kalmakoff; his sister Ella Kalmakoff; his siblings-in-law, Louise Thiessen and John Epp; and his son Trevor.

He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Dana McLeod (Donnie), Renee Poloprutsky (Johnny) and Chad Kalmakoff (Allison); his grandchildren, Jillian (Rhett), Fraser (Alora), Kiera, Kale, Liliana and Maya; his sister Olive Epp; and his siblings-in-law, Susan Driedger (Dick), Wally Thiessen (Joan) and Art Thiessen.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
