We are sad to announce that, on May 25, 2026, at the age of 88, Leona Helen Besenski (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Bernard Besenski; her parents, Jacob Brecht and Cecelia Brecht; and her siblings, Lawrence, Gabe, Bill, Paul Brecht, Amy Clapper (Al), Agnes Loroff (Leo), Florence Luce (Sid), Stella Ball (Harry) and Bernadette Brecht.
She is survived by: her children, Russel Besenski (Sandra) of Saskatoon, SK, Rubylynn Bohnen (Brent) of Grand Prairie, AB, Debra Grund (Wayne) of Saskatoon, SK, Candace Besenski of Humboldt, SK and Cyndi Tesch of Saskatoon, SK. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.
