He was predeceased by: his brother Gibson. He is survived by: his wife Valerie Warke; his daughter Kathleen Warke; his son-in-law Timothy Shantz; his grandchildren, Chloe and Isaac; and his siblings, Alberta Olson, Brenda Warke, Ronald Warke (Betty) and Trevor Warke (Sheila). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved in-laws.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lew's memory to Pilgrims Hospice Society, Edmonton Community Foundation, or Hope Mission.
