She was predeceased by: her parents, John Bernath and Clara Bernath; her husbands, Frederick "Don" Freysteinson and Milton Carl Oxenrider; her brothers, Ken and Garvin; and her grandson Travis.
She is survived by: her children, Wyona (Tom), Brad (Diane), Ted (Sue) and Trevor (Jackie); her stepdaughters, Karen and Lorraine; her grandchildren, A. J. (Rebecca), Jordan (LaDana), John (Kristie), James (Monica), Nick (Rebecca), Brandy, Amber (Ben), Paul (Ashley), Kayla (Mark), Ryan (Amy), Courtney (Rebecca) of Kyla, T. J., Natasha (Sean) and Trey; her great grandchildren, Angel, Evan, Emma, Ivy, Zach, Olivia, Jacob, Maddie, John Henry, Nicholas, Waylon, Sadie, Kala, Shana, Presley, Ethan, Faythe, Dillon, Tristan, Austin, Nathan, Charlie, Oliver, Andee and Eli; her great great grandchildren, Roman and Frances; and her sisters, Judi (Brian) and Sandy. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 20th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Park Funeral Home (311 3rd Ave N, Saskatoon, SK S7K2H9). A burial will be held on Sunday, June 21st 2026 at the Thingvalla Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honour Lila's memory are invited to make a donation to a charity or cause of their choosing that reflects the values and passions that were meaningful to her – faith, education, compassion, animal welfare, community care, and support for health care, caregiving, and medical research.
