She was predeceased by: her parents, William Layh and Lydia Layh. She is survived by: her spouse Terry; her children, Tonya Schmolke (Michael) and Jason Dudar (Leah); her grandchildren, Natalya Schmolke, Mikayla Schmolke, Katherine Dudar and William Dudar; and her brother Harold Layh.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Loretta's name, to the Hospice at Glengarda, where she spent her final six months.
