She was predeceased by: her parents, William Ward and Sadie Ward; her husband Merle Svennes (Bill); and her brothers, Dave, Bill and Edward Ward.

She is survived by: her children, Terry (Ralph), Gerald (Jaime) and Tammy (Jay); her grandchildren, Haley (Rory), Shawn, Jessica (Cody), Michael, Marissa, Ross (Claire) and Breanna; her great grandchildren, Kit and Sadie; and her pet Lady Jane.

Donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and the Palliative Care Unit at St. Paul's Hospital can be made in honour of Lorna.
