We announce the death of Marie Phillips in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, born in Melville, Saskatchewan, who passed away on October 13, 2026, at the age of 100. Marie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Marie will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Marie will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Marie’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her sister Katherine Smith; her former husband Harvey Genest; and her husband Lloyd Phillips. She is survived by: her children, Lorne Genest (Marion), Suzanne Kolody and Bonnie Johnston (Mike); and her brother Mike Famulak. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Bosco Church (1202 Ave. O S, Saskatoon, SK S7M2T6).
