She was predeceased by: her son Dwayne; and her parents, Walter Olson and Frances Olson (Folster). She is survived by: her husband Laurie Hopkins; her children, Dianne Whelan (Hopkins), Brian Hopkins (Tracy), Trevor Hopkins (Joanne) and Tracy Witter (Greg); her sister Elaine Norum; her grandchildren, Alison Whelan, Andrea Whelan (Luke), Ashley Whelan (Jesse), Andrew Whelan, Chris Hopkins (Kirsten), Carling Lorentz (Jeff), Cali Wellar (Chris), Nicole Hopkins (Jason), Chad Hopkins (Tara), Josh Witter (Kathy) and Kiley Failler (Logan); and her great grandchildren, Bowyn, Neveya, Remi, Kennedy, Duke, Sage, Nova, Cedar, Hawk, Leddy, Bodie, Sara, James, Nora and Rowan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Hillcrest Funeral Home (210 Wess Rd, Saskatoon, SK S7V0S4).
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to make a donation to the St. Paul's Hospital Foundation in support of the Palliative Care Unit, or Operation Smile Canada, a charity closest to Marilyn's heart.
