With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Shutiak (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan), who passed away on April 23, 2026 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Mary departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Mary may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Mary leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Mike Shutiak; her grandson Michael Derksen; her parents, William Dutka and Phyllis Dutka; and her siblings, Elizabeth Chomyn Rayner, Darlene Diederich and Joe Dutka.
She is survived by: her brother-in-law Larry Diederich. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Monday, May 4th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Park Funeral Home (311 3rd Ave N, Saskatoon, SK S7K2H9).
