With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merle Lucas (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan), born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, who passed away on June 12, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Donald George Lucas; her parents, Percy Slater and Jean Slater of Prince Albert; her brothers, Arthur Slater of Vancouver, BC, Alan Slater (Wilma) of Vancouver, BC and Barry Slater (Sharon) of Prince Albert, SK; and her son-in-law Wayne Sembalerus of Saskatoon.
She is survived by: her children, Kimberlee Johnson (Gary) of Cambridge Ontario, Mark Lucas (Lise) of Saskatoon, Corinne Sembalerus of Saskatoon and Jennifer Lucas of Vancouver, BC. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
