Mervin Albert Skwara Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mervin Albert Skwara (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 15, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Marion Skwara (Bazarkewich); his wife Lucy Swystun-Skwara (Nahorney); his parents, John Skwara and Ann Skwara; his sister Victoria Matwishyn; his parents-in-law, Peter and Nettie Bazarkewich; and his brother-in-law Eugene Matwishyn.
He is survived by: his children, Laurie Kohne (Mike Keil) of White City, SK, Darren Skwara (Cheryl) of Saskatoon, SK and D'Arcy Skwara (Nadeane Nelson) of Emerald Park, SK.; his great grandchildren, Brenndan Skwara (Nikki Keen), Caitlin Henry (Tyler Weathered), Matthew Skwara, Jared Skwara (Alicia), Nicole Skwara (Ryan Delwo), Dallas, Charlee, Amelia, Anthony, Tyler, Jaxon, Nash, Oakley and Brax; his brother Victor Skwara (Darlene); and his siblings-in-law, Kay Mullett (Gordon), John Bazarkewich (Edna) and Joe Bazarkewich (Jane). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Paul's Hospital Foundation, Kidney Foundation of Canada or Saskatoon SPCA.
