Mervin Steven Negrey Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Mervin Steven Negrey (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) is shared. Mervin, born on November 19, 1942, passed away on September 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Mervin will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honour Mervin by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Mervin is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Mervin’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dmytro Negrey and Lena Negrey (Sluchinski); and his sisters, Anne Hyshka and Sonja Negrey. He is survived by: his son Dana Negrey; his granddaughter Gabrielle Negrey; his daughter Tanya Negrey; and his cousins, Olga Krieger (Sorba), Scott and Rick Saretzky.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Dormition Ukrainian Catholic Church (120 105 St W, Saskatoon, SK S7N1N2).
