He was predeceased by: his sister Emily; his parents, Alice and Emil; and his siblings, Ann, John, Nick and Peter.
He is survived by: his wife Rita (Mazoka); his daughter Cindy (Darryl); and his grandchildren, Rebecca Pike (Murray), Jessica Clark-Kabir (Monsur), Darian Clark and Klarisa Harder. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
