She was predeceased by: her husband Bill; her parents, Lilian Smith and Edward Smith; and her siblings, Joan Barr, Cornelius Smith and Marvin Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Maureen Melnyk (David), Edward Maxwell (Grace), Christine Bird (David) and Gordon Maxwell (Alexis); her grandchildren, Raylene Melnyk (Chris), Jerilyn Matlock (Darcy), Stacey White (Daniel), Devin Melnyk, Andrew Bird (Cindy), Shawn Bird, Brenden Maxwell, Lydia Maxwell, Aubrey Maxwell (Kyle) and Savannah Maxwell; her uncle Cornelius (Betty); Bill. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, a large extended family, numerous friends.
