She was predeceased by: her parents, Reginald Ward and Kathleen Ward; and her brother Walter Ward. She is survived by: her husband Nestor Yachiw; her children, Brenda Peters (Russ), Daryl Yachiw and Kevin Yachiw; her sister Joy Rayner (Willard Jamieson); and her grandchildren, Shawn and Levi (Cassandra). She is also survived by six great grandchildren, brother and sister in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
