He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Danylyshyn and Mary Danylyshyn; his children, Richard and Lynn; and his siblings, Peter and Olga.

He is survived by: his daughter Karen Hine (Greg); and his grandchildren, Eliza, Brittany, Olivia, Blake and Danielle.
