He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth; his parents, Theophile Smith and Lillian Smith; his parents-in-law, Anton and Marion Saworski; his granddaughters, Melinda O'Hara, Jennifer Adams and Jacqueline Smith; and his son Denis Gagnon.
He is survived by: his children, Carol O'Hara (Gerald Schmirler), Lyall Smith (Cindy), Sandra Fontaine, Lynda Howe (Danny) and Cindy Lou Blunt; his grandchildren, Amanda Grasby (Andrew), Angela O'Hara-Towler (Karl Towler), Cameron Smith (Lisa Sanders), Lisa Smith and Candace Adams (Antonio Garcia); and his great grandchildren, Kale Grasby, Moreah O'Hara-Towler, Breeanne Sanders, Brooke Smith, Neah, Isiah Smith, Brady, Riley and Keshon Adams. He is also survived by many brothers, sisters, brothers & sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family.
