She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Tony Ackerman; her parents, George Volk and Magdalena Volk; and her siblings, Albert Volk, Sister Beatrice Volk, Joseph Volk, Mary Glatt, Sister Evelyn "Pauline" Volk and Marcella (Marg).

She is survived by: her sons, Brian (Janice), Keith (Jackie), Gerard (Lynn), Gilbert (Dany), Alan (Melanie) and Richard (Craig); her grandchildren, Reed (Mckenzie), Blake, Derek, Lindsey, Jennifer, Patrick, Jessica, Sarah, Daryl (Chyanna), Melissa, Nicole (Mike) and Tyler (Karlee); her great grandchildren, Tazlynn, Keely, Camden and Brixton; her sisters, Evelyn Botham, Anne Brinn, Marlene Pulak (Gene) and Janet Putnam (Grant); her close friend Rose; and also Brenda.
