He was predeceased by: his parents, Caroline Sewap and Richard McCallum; his in-law Pierre; his wife Mary Therese Bighetty; his children, Mervin, Corrinne and Elaine; his grandchildren, Melissa Bighetty and Baby John Durocher; his chapans, Corrine Kasandra Elaine of Mike Bighetty, JR, Paul Bighetty, Catherine (Butterfly Woman), Liam Lavelle, Drake Bighetty and Drake Joseph; his brothers, Michael Sewap and Baptist Bighetty; his niece Donna Dorion; his godchild Thotin Ballantyne; and his siblings-in-law, Helen, Adele (Louison), Marcel, Cornelius (Angelique) and Brian Palaqeets.
He is survived by: his children, Peggy, Dora (Kosty), Charlene, Brenda, Myrna, Janice, Charnelle, Jody, Michael (Valerie), Allan, Carl, Pierre (Karen) and Justin; his siblings, Margaret, Lucy, Thelma, Caroline and Horace Bighetty; his cousins, Rodrick Thomas and Conrad Bighetty; his siblings-in-law, Florence (Allan) and Joseph "Joe" (Marie); his close friends, Frank Richards, Ben Merasty and John Merasty; and his friend Sister Sylvia. He is also survived by 41 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, 13 chapans; his godchildren.
