He was predeceased by: his parents, George Dowie and Regina Dowie. He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his sons, Ryan (Ashtin), Mitchell and Westin (Faith); his grandchildren, Oaklyn, Wilder and Dash; and his siblings, Carrol Morse, Maurren Hessdorfer and Dale Dowie.
He donated art to charity auctions and organized a variety of community events.
