He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Nykiforuk and Nellie Nykiforuk; his son Larry Nykiforuk; his brother Andrew Nykiforuk (Louise); and his in-laws, Orest Reshetnyk, Mike, Elsie Zadorozny, Walter Zadorozny and Moris Degutis.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia; his daughters, Valerie Nykiforuk (Eldon Wilkinson) and Shirley Markowsky; his grandchildren, Adam Markowsky, Jackie Markowsky and Rhonda Best (Dustin Grenier); his great grandchildren, Kingston and Gabriel; his sisters, Mary Nykiforuk and Natalie Reshetnyk; and his sisters-in-law, Rose Marie Zadorozny and Nadia Degutis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Church (2616 Louise St, Saskatoon, SK S7J0P3).
