He was predeceased by: his father Glen McCormick. He is survived by: his wife Trish; his daughter Rachel (Brent); his granddaughters, Charlotte and Quinten; his siblings, Bill and Carole; and his mother Sarah McCormick. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Meewasin Valley Authority or Royal University Hospital Foundation.
