He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Pilkey and Elsie Pilkey; and his siblings, Russ Pilkey and Elaine Rothlander. He is survived by: his wife Dene; his sons, Darren Pilkey (Laurie) and Brad Pilkey (Jana); his grandchildren, Kennedy Pilkey (Blaze Eufemia), Reid Pilkey (Chloe Sanderson), Luke Pilkey, Grace Pilkey and Jack Pilkey; his great grandchild Remington Eufemia; his siblings, Cliff (Trudy), Victor, Leonard (Myrtle), Laverne and Bob (Blandina); and his siblings-in-law, Cal Lee (Karen), Donna Haugen (Cliff), Jeanine Hauberg (Harold Aitcheson) and Larry Lee (Rose). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Hillcrest Funeral Home (210 Wess Rd, Saskatoon, SK S7V0S4). With only a brief hiatus during COVID, Ray worked with Enterprise until 2025, continuing to work until the age of 93, an extraordinary testament to his energy and dedication.
