Richard Taciuk Obituary

With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Richard Taciuk of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Richard left this world on October 1, 2024 at the age of 68, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Richard Taciuk to show support.

As we bid Richard farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Richard is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He is survived by: his son Spencer Taciuk (Jazmine) of Saskatoon; his former wife Sandra MacPherson of Saskatoon; his sister Carole Zuk (Wayne) of Saskatoon; his nieces and nephews, Cristi Dimengo (Nick) and Brodie Zuk (Lindsay); his brother David (Patricia) of Saskatoon; his nephew Gregory Taciuk (April); and his niece Kimberly Taciuk.

Donations in memory of Rick may be directed to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Jim Kells wrote a sympathy message

“I just learned of Rick’s passing in the U of S Green and White, and very sadly so. Rick and I were in first year Engineering together in 1973-74. I found him to be a very fine fellow. As Rick did not continue in Engineering, I saw him only infrequently in the years since. But each time we chatted, it was the same ‘old’ Rick. A gentle soul to me. He was my first connection to Wakaw!!”

Jerry Nagy wrote a sympathy message

“Please accept our deepest sympathy in your family’s loss of such a sweet man. It was a pleasure to reconnect with Rick for our grade 12 grad class’s ‘50th Year’ reunion. Fortunately for us, Rick initiated the idea and got several of us working together to make it a success. He was fun and easy to work with. We are comforted in the scriptural promise of a resurrection for all because of Jesus life and sacrifice. That is a reunion to look forward to. Sincerely, Donna & Jerry Nagy💖”
