She is survived by : her children, Ray Cooper (Lisa), Donna-Marie Sorestad, Noreen Taylor (Curt) and Bryan Jack; her grandsons, Dallas Taylor (Coralee), Kevin Taylor, Mitchel Sorestad (Aukje) and Brett Sorestad (Saba); her great grandchildren, Violet, Ethan, Lucas and Liam Taylor; and her caregiver John Clark. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
During Rita's life she was active as a church organist, an Anglican Youth counselor, choir singer, short order cook, school bus driver, Deanery President, home care worker for Alzheimer clients, and child care worker.
