He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris (Robert Gibb) and Lintlaw. He is survived by: his children, Jamie Sommerfeld and Kelly Sommerfeld; his grandchildren, Reece, Sienna Sommerfeld and Mac Woodward; his spouse Leslie Gibb; his brother Bruce Gibb; his children-in-law, Monique Sommerfeld and Brandon Woodward; his sister-in-law Jeri Gibb; Una Whittaker.
